Day 1: Cape Town International Airport
Rental Car Pickup: Avis
Included: Rental vehicle, GPS
Pick up your rental vehicle from Avis Car Hire at Cape Town International Airport. When booking, you will be given an option to book an automatic transmission vehicle.

- You will need an international drivers licence

Day 1 – 3: Franschhoek (Winelands)
Accommodation: Lavender Guest Farm
Franschhoek is approximately an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Here you will find yourself at the heart of the beautiful Cape Winelands. Sample some of South Africa’s best wines, cheeses, and breads. Enjoy the small town’s colonial Cape Dutch architecture which has been so well preserved. The town is also renowned for its excellent restaurants.
Your accommodation is located only 1.3kms from the town center on a 3 hectare Lavender farm. It offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges and breath-taking countryside. Enjoy relaxing at the pool or in your luxurious room after a day of wine tasting and shopping at local boutiques.
Day 3 – 5: Oudtshoorn
Accommodation: Mooiplaas Guest House
Enjoy the 4 hour scenic drive which takes you along the absolutely iconic Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. Located in the semi-desert “Small Karoo”, this area is so diverse from the previous locations, yet still so beautiful. Oudtshoorn is famous for it’s Ostrich farms as well as the Cango Caves. The Cango Caves are a collection of tunnels and caves extending 4kms and are a must see during your South Africa vacation package!
Your accommodation is located on a luxurious country guest house, which is also a genuine ostrich farm. An ostrich farm tour can be taken at the Mooiplaas farm. Oudtshoorn town center as well as all other activities are reachable within minutes when driving. Experience true peace and tranquility in the Small Karoo!
Day 5 – 8: Knysna (Garden Route)
Accommodation: Parkes Manor
Enjoy the 2 hour drive which takes you through the coastal region of the Garden Route to the center of the Garden Route, Knysna. Knysna is famous for its lagoon, surrounding forests, natural beaches and general untouched landscapes . There are numerous outdoor activities and adventures to be had in Knysna as well as the surrounding areas, which are all easily accessible with your car! The town itself is filled with boutique stores and trendy cafes & restaurants.
Your accommodation is the Parkes Manor. Initially built in 1927 and restored in 2013, it is a charming guest house with a beautiful garden and pool area. The Manor has an exquisite view over the lagoon. A few minutes drive from the town center, this will be your base from where you will plan all your Garden Route adventures!
Day 8 – 9: Hermanus
Accommodation: On the Cliff Guest House
Hermanus is approximately a 4 hour’s drive from Knysna. It is situated on the coast near the southern most tip of Africa. Hermanus is known as the whale watching capital of South Africa. Within driving distance is Gansbaai, where you can get up close to Great White sharks while cage diving! With it’s mountain backdrop and beautiful beaches, you can also simply relax and enjoy nature here.
Your accommodation is within walking distance from the beach and town center. Enjoy the amazing sea view from the accommodation. During whale watching season, you can view whales from your room itself! There are swimming beaches nearby with life guards. Numerous activities can be booked with the assistance of the guest house staff.
Day 9 – 12: Cape Town
Accommodation: Hippo Boutique Hotel
Cape Town, also known in South Africa as the “Mother City” is the last spot on this South Africa vacation package. Consistently rated as one of the top cities to visit in the world, Cape Town has everything to offer, from Table Mountain, trendy cafes and bars, historical museums, to world class shopping at the V & A Waterfront.
Your accommodation is centrally located, but at the same time quiet enough to relax. It is only a block away from Kloof street with its boutique cafes. Equally important, it is also well located to Table Mountain, the Waterfront as well as the two main highways, making exploring Cape Town that much more convenient!
Day 12: Cape Town International Airport
Rental Car Drop Off: Avis
Return your rental car at the Cape Town International Airport. Reminisce on the amazing vacation you have had!

- Drop the car off at least 2 hours before your flight
- Return the car with a full tank of fuel (there is a petrol station near the airport)
